Nature's abundance

Located on the western edge of Wyoming’s Black Hills, Keyhole State Park is situated on the southeast shore of Keyhole Reservoir. Some consider Keyhole a mecca for birds, both permanent residents and migrating species. In addition, wildlife enthusiasts can thrill at the site of mule deer, pronghorn antelope and wild turkeys. The lake offers excellent fishing with a thriving population of walleye, catfish, small mouth bass and northern pike, and one can easily access it via a public boat ramp.

Park amenities

Keyhole State Park is open year round and offers nine campgrounds that overlook the lake. There are more than 170 developed sites, each with their own picnic table and barbecue grill. Most sites are big enough for RVs and trailers, but a few are set back in the trees for a more private experience. Restroom facilities and a playground are centrally located, and a variety of hiking trails provide hours of active fun. A privately-run marina is conveniently located adjacent to the lake shore with a concessionaire that offers everything from gas to groceries to fishing licenses. Showers are also available at the marina, as well as 10 camp sites with electricity hookups. One has to reserve these directly through the concessionaire.

If you want to experience outdoor adventure with scenic views, then Keyhole State Park offers an accessible and easy solution. Schedule your relaxing stay on the lake shore and experience the beauty of Wyoming today.
