Visit clear mountain lakes, climb steep peaks or relax next to a campfire on a starry night.
Places to camp
If you plan on staying in the Grand Tetons for more than a day, then consider spending the night in one of many campgrounds. The Colter Bay, Flagg Ranch, Gros Ventre and Jenny Lake campgrounds all offer spots for tent campers and fire pits for cooking and relaxing. The Colter Bay and Flagg Ranch campgrounds also accommodate RVs, with power hook-ups, showers, laundry and trailer dumping stations.
Exploring Grand Teton
There are so many places to visit in Grand Teton that it could take you a lifetime. One of the most popular activities is to drive the Teton Park, Antelope Flats or Moose-Wilson roads. These roads are open throughout the summer months and traverse through the heart of the park. If hiking is your preferred method of travel, Grand Teton offers unlimited miles of trails to access lakes, waterfalls, peaks and more. There are trails of all difficulty here. Try the Leigh or Taggart Lakes trails to skirt the edges of crystal-clear lakes and waterfalls, and if you are lucky you can spot some wildlife inhabitants. For more of a challenge, consider a back-country trip through challenging, high-elevation routes that take you into the heart of Teton Country.
You are sure to enjoy the scenery, wildlife and outdoor activities available at Grand Teton Park. In addition to hiking, camping and water activities, feel free to visit one of six visitor centers and museums where you can participate in ranger-led activities to learn more about this impressive landscape and its history.
