Glendo State Park is one of the most popular destinations of the many gorgeous Wyoming parks and nature areas. Rich in history from the many Native American tribes that roamed the area, such as the Arapaho, Sioux, Oglala and Cheyenne, tipi sites and other artifacts are a part of the land that surrounds Glendo Reservoir. These days, Glendo State Park is quite a popular sailing and motorized boating destination. At an elevation of 4,718 feet and boasting almost 13,000 acres of water, Glendo Reservoir has something for everyone.

With a boat ramp, dock and marina, boaters have what they need for water fun. In addition to boating, activities like fishing, water skiing, wind surfing and swimming on the beach at Glendo Reservoir are sure to keep you busy. With 400 tent and RV camping sites, a comfortable camping experience awaits. Four miles of hiking trails are available for those seeking something on dry land, and restrooms, picnic areas and picnic shelters keep everyone happy.

Glendo State Park is popular as a boating and fishing destination due to the large size of Glendo Reservoir, accommodating every boat and angler. In fact, Glendo Reservoir is famous for some record-making fish caught there, which were some of the biggest ever recorded in the state.
